| The Housing Investigation Team is a team of specialist officers who deal with the more serious cases of Anti-Social Behaviour. Initial complaints about Council tenants should be resported to the Local Service Centre for the area where staff will deal with the complaints. If the problems persist after warnings have been issued then the case will be passed onto the Housing Investigation Team. The team also investigates Anti-Social Behaviour throughout Fife in any situation even if there are no Council tenants involved. The Team will try to resolve issues by any possible means. We will speak to complainers and perpetrators where required. Referrals can be made to other services or agencies such as Fife Community Mediation to try and find an amicable solution. If problems still persist the team will consider taking legal action to resolve the situation. The team is co-located with other Community Safety Partners in the Safer Communities Centre. | FIFE COUNCIL TENANTS--All anti-social behaviour problems associated with Fife Council tenants should be reported to the Local Service Centre for the Area. Staff in the Local Service Centre will carry out initial investigations and issue warnings. Local Services staff can make referrals to the Housing Investigation Team when appropriate.
NON-FIFE COUNCIL TENANTS--Any other anti-social behaviour problems may be reported direct to the Housing Investigation Team. The types of information we are looking for are: 1)Name and address of the person causing problems 2)What the problems are 3)Times and dates of incidents 4)Details of any other witnesses 5) Details about calls to Police or other agencies. Please note if the property involved is not a Fife Council tenancy the problems have to be of a more serious nature to allow the Team to pursure Legal Action. Make A Referral |
