| The Huntington's Specialist Service aims to provide: Information to families and professionals relevant to advice on disease management. Emotional and practical support for people whose lives are affected by Huntington's Disease. Someone to talk to confidentially out with the family situation, to suit individual needs. Liaison with other professions to help individuals obtain services to which they may be entitled e.g. Benefits Agency, Social Work Departments, Respite Care etc. Information and support to local groups in the various regions throughout Scotland. Information for families and friends on many aspects of Huntington's Disease. Advice, education and information to all care providers. Information on Regional Genetic Services and tests available throughout Scotland. | Referrals are taken from clients themselves or professionals, carers or others with permission of the client.
