Advice and Specific Needs Team (Supporting People)

The Advice and Specific Needs Team commissions and monitors short term visiting housing support services in Fife for a wide range of service user groups.   Short term visiting housing support offers a person the opportunity to develop the practical skills and abilities needed to live independently. The support can be for one hour up to ten hours per week. It doesn’t matter if a person owns their own home or rents it from a Landlord they will still be eligible for support should their referral meet the criteria for the service. There is no charge for this service.

Advice and Support Team

This team provides advice and support to staff working in the Local Services Centres also to, Fife Housing Register partners, support providers, other services of Fife Council , voluntary sector agencies and professionals working with tenants and/or prospective tenants of Fife Council. They participate in the delivery of services of the Local Services Network, by contributing to the training and development of staff, carrying out process improvement along with providing a coaching and mentoring role. Barony Housing Association

As part of Barony Housing Association Ltd, Barony Care Services provide a range of community-based supports throughout the central Fife area to vulnerable adults within their own tenancies and across our two ‘contact point’ day centres. Within our Housing Support Service, our main aim is ‘to offer support where necessary to vulnerable adults in ways which respect and increase their independence’. Bethany Christian Trust

Bethany Christian Trust seeks to relieve the suffering and meet the long term needs of homeless and vulnerable people. Not everyone that uses Bethany's service has been homeless, and it is hoped that with the correct advice and support any risk of homelessness will be reduced as individuals are able to establish themselves within their local communities. Support is negotiated with the individual and Bethany seeks to work in partnership with individuals and local agencies to promote safe and secure independent living. Housing support is available in Levenmouth, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes area.   Bethany also operates the Toastie Club which is a drop in service in Dunfermline and Methil and a Women's Group in Dunfermline.

Frontline Fife Support Services

Frontline Fife's Support Teams offer a number of services which meet the needs of people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Core and Cluster: Provides emergency accommodation to people who find themselves homeless. The accommodation is made up of a number of shared "cluster" properties in the Levenmouth and Kirkcaldy areas which are managed by a "core" group of staff.    Scatter Flats: Manage 19 properties in Cupar, Methil, Leven, Buckhaven and Lochgelly.  The accommodation is temporary and allows people to experience living in a tenancy.  We offer support and assistance with budgeting, managing bills, cooking and healthy eating, housekeeping, access to other services etc.   Visiting Support:  Provides support in the person's own tenancy. & ...

Gilven Project (Scottish Christian Alliance)

We offer a variety of services working with homeless and vulnerable people to enable them to live independently.   Our projects include - A 10 bed Hostel in Glenrothes for homeless young women.
