| Maternity care in Fife is geared to making pregnancy and birth as normal as possible with the widest choice for women. Antenatal and postnatal care is carried out locally with the majority of midwives based in GP surgeries and making home visits. Birth options include home birth, midwife led birth or consultant managed care. Inpatient services are in Forth Park Hospital Kirkcaldy. Ultrasound scans and high risk clinics are available in Queen Margaret Hospital Dunfermline and Forth Park Hospital. Community Midwives are based in Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline and St Andrews. We aim to provide care that is safe and appropriate for each individual woman and her family. | Via GP |
