The Health Improvement Training Service provides and co-ordinates training which aims to enhance the skills, knowledge and confidence of workers in Fife to improve the health and wellbeing of local people, and to reduce health inequalities.
We can:
We produce an annual Health Improvement Training Programme. This offers a range of courses on core skill and priority topics for health improvement to workers and volunteers from the public and voluntary sector organisations in Fife. Staff members from workplaces affiliated with the Healthy Working Lives project are also welcome to attend. All non-accredited courses are free of charge.
We provide training opportunities which will enable workers to take forward and evaluate Fife's Joint Health Improvement Plan.
We work with a number of our Community Planning Partners to develop and deliver training courses. This approach ensures that local knowledge and expertise is brought to the courses on offer and is crucial to the successful delivery of health improvement training in Fife.
A range of support is available for those who are interested in developing skills and confidence in delivering training on health improvement issues.
