Monitoring and evaluation PDF Print E-mail

Background

The JHIP Monitoring and Evaluation Report, 2005, highlighted evaluation as a key health improvement area requiring further support. A range of indicators for each of the outcomes in the JHIP has been identified and these are listed here .

Fife Health & Wellbeing Alliance will monitor these indicators over the next 3 years and update progress against each outcome. In order to do this a monitoring and evaluation framework is being developed for the new JHIP. This framework will reflect the new format of the updated plan and will help us to identify and share areas of good practice as well as to direct support effectively.

It is the responsibility of each lead partner to ensure that they liaise with local partnerships and groups in order to keep informed of progress made in relation to focus areas for which they have the lead. Processes for reporting will be developed as part of the revised JHIP Monitoring and Evaluation Framework and as far as possible will fit in with other reporting requirements for other strategies and plans such as the Children’s Services Plan.

Partnership groups and front line teams should establish a clear process for evaluating projects, initiatives and other areas of work relating to relevant focus areas. Information and resources to assist operational staff with evaluation will be provided on the healthyfife, along with details of training , events and other sources of evaluation support available in Fife.
