Focus areas translated into local service delivery PDF Print E-mail

 

A number of focus areas have been agreed through consultation with organisations working within the broad area of health improvement.

Each focus area has a designated lead partner.

Lead partners are multi-agency partnership groups or forums who will support, co-ordinate and monitor work around specific focus areas. Their role in relation to the JHIP is to:

  1. promote and support delivery of the JHIP focus areas they have responsibility for 
  2. identify, link with and support  local partnerships and groups around these focus areas
  3. liaise with local partnerships and groups in order to keep informed of progress made in relation to focus areas
  4. report progress regularly to FHWA, disseminate evaluation findings and share good practice around the focus areas for which they have the lead.
 Lead partners need to identify, link with and support local groups around the focus areas they are responsible for. planning.jpgLocal partnership groups or teams need to;
  1. Include actions related to focus areas into their relevant action plans and delivery.
  2. Find out about local needs and circumstances
  3. Consider how their actions impact on particular communities and groups in relation to reducing health inequalities.
  4. Use training opportunities to build knowledge, skills and resources of staff to influence health and wellbeing and tackle health inequalities
  5. Explore sources of funding
  6. Find out about planning structures in Fife
  7. Make contact with appropriate strategy groups
  8. Find out about other organisations delivering services tackling health improvement and health inequality issues.
