Getting it Right Together: Financial Inclusion and Employability Awareness Training
A wealth of evidence has highlighted both the impact of taking a more holistic approach to helping clients move forward, and the importance of employability as an effective route out of exclusion.
The course is suitable for any staff member with a role in providing face-to-face advice and information to clients – whether that be through a short, one off meeting or longer-term contact with them.
Following on from the successful pilot project run in 2008, this training will focus on raising awareness of financial inclusion and employability issues to a broad range of frontline staff and help to:
- Develop support for clients which takes a longer-term view of client progression
- Identify key ‘trigger points’ where clients might be at risk of losing control of their lives
- Identify issues affecting clients’ financial circumstances and respond to clients’ needs through effective referral/signposting
- Understand the link between employability and the skills and confidence needed to move out, and stay out, of poverty
