What are quality standards?

Quality Standards are a framework for achieving a recognised level of quality within an organisation.  Achievement of Quality Standards demonstrates that an organisation has met the requirements laid out by a certifying body. 

Recognised Quality Standards include:  Care Commission, PQASSO, Customer Service Excellence Standards (formerly Charter Mark), Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers, Investors in People, National Care Standards (Housing Support), Citizens Advice Scotland Membership Scheme Standards and Quality Scotland.

The Fife Rights Forum Quality Standards is a peer-assessed quality assurance scheme that was created to help develop and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within Fife’s advice, rights and financial inclusion sector.  It is flexible and free, and has been designed for use by both voluntary and statutory agencies.
