As the Fife Rights Forum Quality Standards scheme is peer-assessed, each agency must nominate at least two assessors.*  These assessors will join the FRF Quality Standards assessor pool and will be used to assess other services.

Each agency must also nominate at least one person to be its Quality Standards champion.  This should be a key member of staff who is committed to quality assurance and who is able to drive forward the Quality Standards process and implement any resultant organisational changes.  Some agencies find it useful to create a Quality Standards champions team or working group.

Although there are no direct financial costs associated with the Quality Standards and the process should not be overly time-consuming, agencies should be committed to completing the process.  To get the most benefit from the Quality Standards, agencies should also ensure they get buy-in from all staff, and that quality assessment and improvement does not stop with the FRF Quality Standards award, but becomes an ongoing and integral part of their organisations’ culture.

*In some circumstances this number may be reduced.  For example, if an agency has less than 7 members of staff Fife Rights Forum may agreed that the agency is only required to nominate one assessor.
