If you have experienced hate crime, don't put up with it, report it!

Hate crime is when a crime or incident is perceived by the victim or any other person to be motivated by prejudice or hate on the basis of

  • age
  • disability
  • religion, faith or belief
  • sexual orientation

You can report incidents to a number of agencies who are working together to tackle hate crime in Fife.

  • Visit your local police station or council office
  • phone the antisocial behaviour helpdesk on 0845 600 5702
  • complete and post a self-reporting form, available from community facilities and groups

The Safer Neighbourhoods Team receive copies of all incidents reported. The team monitors incidents and will carry out further investigation where necessary. Victim Support Fife work within the team to provide support and help with practical issues, including compensation, personal safety and crime prevention.
